The past week

Friday was Children in Need, and the big waxing took place in ASDA.
Unfortunately I missed Scott getting his legs waxed, but I have been told he chickened out and only had one leg waxed!

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had an email from Schmap saying that one of my photos had been nominated to be included in the forth edition of their Bristol guide.
I got an email from them Saturday saying that my photo was included.

Now for more news about Linux Links, I was working all day Saturday to try and get search working, but it just wasn’t going right!

I was copying code from phpBB, and from a couple of tutorials from the Internet, I was even using the MySQL search functions, but none of them produced the results I was after.

I now feel sorry for the pigeons working at google!

Search is still not working, but I have a new plan to try, it involves splitting the search string, searching for each word separately!
I’ll keep you posted on how it goes!

100th Post!

This is my 100th post! Yay!
And I’m mad and typing it up at half past midnight on Monday! *groan*

This is just a quick post to say that I have finally uploaded the photos that I took when me and my girlfriend went to Bristol Zoo on my birthday, and then Chedder Gorge the following day.

Sunny Saturday Evening

Well its now Saturday, and I am 22, so that makes this the first post of my 22nd year 🙂 And the second post this week lol!

Thursday went off well, it was nice and sunny when I woke up and it stayed that way all day, in fact I cant remember a year were it has not been sunny on my birthday!

I got a bookcase from my parents, I didn’t know what I wanted for my birthday, so that all I got, and £60!
From my sister I got a pack of beer, and £22!
From my girlfriend I got an MP3 player, a USB aquarium, and two Mr Bean cartoon DVD’s number 1 and 4!

The trip to the zoo lasted all day! We got there about 11:30 am and left just before 5:30 pm
We walked around every where, and I’ve got 59 photos to prove it!

On Friday we went to Cheddar Gorge

The day started off overcast, but it cleared about 2pm
We started off walking up and down the road looking in all the shops then we started walking up the road through the gorge.
Some where up that road we found a path up the hill side so we walked back along the top and back into Cheddar.
We got back to Cheddar about 5:15 pm, and we were walking for about 2 hours!
I’ve also got some photos from Cheddar, mainly of the views on our walk!

I’ve just opened a Flickr account so I’ll upload most of the photos there.
I’ve started with some of the other 200 odd photos I’ve got on my computer.
At the moment I’ve got some of the nicer close ups uploaded, but I will upload more.

Its Saturday evening and Bristol Rovers and Bristol City have both won their matches, and me and my girlfriend are now going out for some dinner!

I am still here!

This is just a quick post to say that I am still alive, and I haven’t forgotten about you or my website!
Its been just over two weeks since my last post, which is not long considering that there has been longer periods of no updates!

Anyway, tomorrow is my 22nd birthday, and me and my girlfriend have got the next couple of days off work, so we are going to enjoy the sun and go out
Possible places to go to are: Bristol Zoo, Chedder Gorge, and Brean!
This weekend is also a bank holiday weekend, so the roads are probably going to be extra busy on Friday and Saturday, so I’m not sure if we will be able to travel very far!

On another note our holiday to Jersey has been paid for, we are going for a week in the middle of July, so hopefully the weather should be hot and sunny!
This will be our first time away from the parents, so that should be fun!
Who’s going to cook! Lol!
