Euromillones Loteria International

On the 28th of December my girlfriend received a letter from the Euromillones Loteria International
Below is a copy of the letter sent

How do I know this is a scam?

  • Firstly the letter is not directly addressed to my girlfriend, and she has never entered any lottery.
  • Secondly all of the logos on the letter have been scanned into the computer.
  • Thirdly the letter heading, is that word art with a drop shadow? On an official letter?
  • Fourthly, why would the winning participant have to give 10% of their winnings to Global Fortune Security S.A.?
  • Fifthly, don’t even get me started on the “claim form”!

I’m not sure what to do with this now, do I send the “claim form” back with fake details, or just tick the box asking to be paid by a certified cheque?

The letter asks for the “award” to be kept away from public notice until the claim has been processed and the money “remitted to your nominated account”

So what better place to announce that my girlfriend has won €615,810 (six hundred and fifteen thousand eight hundred and ten euros only) shared among seventeen (17) international winners with 10% taken off, than my blog!

That’s €32,601.71 (thirty two thousand six hundred and one euros and seventy one cents) or £23,940.91 (twenty three thousand nine hundred and forty pounds and ninety one pence)

WooHoo! We’re in the money! Lol!

Until the next scam,
Stay safe!

Update! One of the commenter’s, Nick, has set up a Facebook group, if you would like to join its called I’ve received a letter from Euromillones Loteria International.

  1. Hi – I just received one today. I thought that it was hilarious! I was told that I won 3,800,000 euros. (wow)
Atleast I got a good laugh at that

  2. Hi Yvette,
Thanks for dropping by and sharing your experience.

Its good to know, in a rather sad way, that its not just happing to me, but also to others from around the world.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and do drop in again.

  3. I received one of these letters and was asked to contact Pacific Security & Parcel Services to arrange payment.
The fuzzy barcode on the bottom of the form made me very suspicious.
I checked their website but when I tried to e-mail their customer services my messages bounced back.
I received a phone call claiming to be the Madrid Branch of Sander bank, but as they asked me for money in advance, my suspicions were confirmed.
Naturally I have not paid them anything!

  4. Letter arrived today for my Mum saying that she’d won 615,810 in this lottery. Minor problem – she’s been dead for 4 years!

Might give them a call just for the fun of it!

  5. Hi Ant, I had a similar letter (but not exactly the same) in November. Think it’s a scam to get people to send their bank details. Anyone would be a fool to fill out the form and send it back!!!

  6. Hi H,
There must be some stupid people that fill in their details and send it off, otherwise why do they continue to send out these letters?

Its nice to hear from you, I hope you drop by again.

  7. i just received a letter that says i just won 915,790.00 USD
in a lottery that i have never heard of and i never bought a lottery ticket.what a scam!who in the hell would believed such a thing.so for the guys out there watch out!!!!

  8. My wife today received the exact letter you have featured above. I feel like asking a friend of mine in Madrid to look up the address (Calle Cordoba No. 21, Planta 2) just out of curiosity. Anyone thinking of giving them a call…don’t. It is a mobile (all Spanish mobiles begin with 6) and it will cost you a small fortune. Sadly some people must take the bait. Will they ever learn?

  9. i had one yesterday,i was all but nearly convinced untill i read it twice but i only won £815,960,00.so i was nearl in the money
    (lol)

  10. I got one today for 985,950 euros. Frankly i’m gutted that Yvette Thomas won 4 times as much as me, I don’t even do well in scams.

  11. Had one of these awful things today addressed to my father who died last year. He had alzhiemhers for 3 years and was in a home so i Know there was no way he had bought any lottery ticket. A few years ago he was bombarded with letters from all over the world saying he had one money and to send 5 or 10 to go to the next stage. I was’nt aware he had been responding to these until he was unable to take care of his own affairs. He had sent well over 400 to various prize draws over the years and because he had responded he started getting over 20 letters a week sometimes. Even now to this day we still have the odd one drop on the mat.
So please everyone don’t take any notice of these stupid dangerous scams. Sadly its the older people who have’nt got computors who are targets and won’t get to read these warnings.

  12. Boy o boy am I in the money 715,810 and all for doing nothing. I think I can afford to pop over to Madrid to pay them a visit. Maybe they will buy me lunch! Hang on there is no such thing as a free lunch!!!!
    Someone phone Watchdog.

  13. Hi, Just got my letter this morning. I’ve won 715,810.00 Euros. Just think of all the things I could do with that money. My friend has also received a letter and thought it was real and that her parents had purchased this ticket while on holiday. How else would they have her address? Thankfully I stoped her making the call. thanks for starting this site.

  14. Hi,

Thanks for opening this website. However, you will all be gutted to know I won a staggering 1 million euros from Loterias Y Apuestas Del Estado. What a smashing bunch; I never even brought a lottery ticket yet here I am laying on a lilo in my huge kidney shaped swimming pool with water fountain feature, sipping cocktails, waiting for my girlfriend to return from another huge shopping trip at Harrods and my lottery cheque to arrive in the post to pay off the bank loan !!

It’s a shame people can actually live there lives robbing those naive enough to believe that nobody in this world could be so cruel with such a scam. I hope these daylight robbers rot in hell or die a slow painful death. Don’t fall for it! take care.

  15. Hiya
I too have just received THE letter informing me of my 818,950.00 euro win.
Didn’t for one minute fall for it, but still checked it out on the internet just incase.
Just read all your messages and as Nicky O said thank god for this website…!!

  16. i too have just received a letter informing me of my win of 815960.00 euro win . did phone to see and they will want you to send money before transfer of money .told them i had none of the 700 they want to transfer so they will try and ask how much you can afford and will pay the difference (what nice people)not.but they will phone you back just a nice way of knowing they have just spent a fortune on international calls.

  17. Guess what? You can’t have won because I have! Tempting to put the letter in the bin but I wonder if there is anyone investigating this particular fraud? Do I send the letter to ‘Watchdog’, the police or the real Euromillions lottery people? Presumably they do make money from people who do respond or the postage alone would cost a fortune!

  18. @Caroline
I email the National Lottery about the letter my girlfriend received, and they gave me links to two websites, http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/information.do?info=commonscams and http://www.met.police.uk/fraudalert/index.htm
From the National Lottery web page I clicked on the useful websites link at the bottom of the page. This page gives a couple of websites that you could visit to report the letter to.
From the National Lottery’s useful websites page I emailed Fraudwatch International
So far I haven’t heard anything back from them!

Let us know how you got on.

    Thanks, Anthony

  19. I got one of these letters today (9th April 2008). What a big joke. The nerve of these people to think that anyone would gave out there information just like that. Thanks to this site I got confirmation that this is really a scam.
Just to let you all know that I am from San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies.

    Thanks, Sharaz

  20. I got one of these letters by royal mail today (10th April 2008). I check this joke on internet. This is crime matter. Next monday I’m going to the police. That’s all.

  21. Got mine today, 9th May, I have 815,950 euros insured in a Spanish bank. How many different company names can they have in one letter.
Thanks Dirk W, the phone no. starts with a 6, good warning.
My lucky numbers were 07-15-25-31-34-46, maybe I’ll try these in tonights draw to see how lucky they are.

  22. thatis unbeleivable by some twist of fate i have won the exact same amount as Karen with the axact same numbers

    what ajoke

  23. I got one today. I’ve won 615,810.00 EUROS. I hate these letters so much, they make me angry. We’ve had about 6 in the last few days. I’ve been thinking about doing something back, like sending them something horrible, but I’m guessing the postal addresses are fake and they get the details from faxing. It would be interesting to track these letters back to the sender somehow. I might start a Facebook group and try and get lots of people together.

  24. I also got one today. Apparently I have won 631,360 Euros. I have to admit, my heart was pounding when I first read it, but decided it must be a scam, as, I`d never entered Euro Lottery, & glad I checked out internet.

  25. My husband got one on the 9th of May. The letter was dated the 5th but mailed already on the 3rd!! My how the mail flies from Spain to Canada in 5 days!!! He won the standard 685,810.00 Euro, identical to an amount won by someone in 2006. Europeans don’t use commas when separating large amounts!!
If you’re going to work a scam, please make it professional and error free.

  26. My husband got one of those letters you all writing about yesterday. He was so happy..because we are in the middle of a divorce: he can have all the ‘money’ now!! Yes!! I can’t have the half of a scam anyway.

  27. had a great letter this morning telling me again that i had won a share of 12.1 million euros which is great news coz its the second time in 4 years that i have won this! the letters had been sent to 2 different addresses how lucky am i? maybe its coz the first prize was unclaimed!!! i might fone from the work fone to have a laugh!!

  28. My mother and I have received such letters today. We have not purchased any tickets for Euromillions from this agency which uses acourier delivery service for sending prizes and expects winners to forfeit ten percent of their prizes to their delivery agent. If agents act on behalf of this body they should receive opayment from the agency not from the customer I have completed their form with the idea of transferring the funds to my bank account but will not send it This agency which represents nobody will not be given my bank account details. Esta agencia es Senor Superscammeo No merece recibir nada.

  29. Hi people,

I got one today, I was surprised how could I win a lottery that I never participated. Wow! a lot of money and for what? I don’t need it let them donate it to any organization of their choice. One more thing, let them not forget to pay the 10% percent to whoever. Hallow guys go on and donate; I have authorised you to do so.

Thanks for sharing your experiences people, you are teaching many innocent people out here.

God bless you and continue giving the shouts.

    I am in Norway.

  30. ive just received on of these scams from euromillions loteria ive won 615,810.00 euros some1s avin a laugh

  31. my mother recently recieved this letter
she was very keen to reply but i wasnt so sure
i took one look at the letter and knew it was rubbish
i begged her to let me look it up on the net first

they’d already asked her for a 1,500 fee
    and her bank details
its really awful that their doing this

  32. I received a scam today as well, apparently I have won 615,810 euros, funny a few people seem to win exactly the same amount, I hope they rot- the rotters

  33. i received this letter today n thank god it was me that this letter was sent to n not my mother. if it was her who received the letter, she’ll probably fell for it. anyway, thanks to this site so everybody can share their experience regarding this matter….

  34. I have just received notification of my extraordinary lottery win. Have notified the police and have been instructed to give the original to the Post Office Investigation unit. Whihc is what I have done. The feel good factor lasted for about 10 seconds before sanity clicked in.
    Regards
    Vic

  35. just got back from holiday in Spain! torecieve notification om big win. Letter said it was international promotion programm conducted once a year. I have entered european lotteries in the past so was plausable, no money asked for up front but not willing to give bank details on form so made phone call and knew it was a scam as soon as I spoke to Dr. John Lopez. He sounds african and asked me to phone back next day when I did’nt he phoned me and said he had Cheque from bank and I should send Money gram for 950. for courier and insurance he then made a mistake changing amount to 850 before end of call also forgot to ask me to fax form or about payment of agency fee which has gone down to 5%! They don’t seem very good at carrying out scam! but as they keep on some people must fall for it.

  36. i to got one saying that i have one 12,168,770,00 my pulse was racing i thought good one them i saw the bit with my bank and said to my self no no no my late husband always said you dont get anything for nowt how true he was sue xxxxxxxxxx

  37. Ive just recived a cheque for 300,000 euros and a letter from my bank of a 1,000,000 overdraft.

  38. I got mine this morning. Handwritten envelope and genuine stamp. Just got back from Spain and wondered if the other half had bought a ticket. Ever the pessimist, and not wanting to wait ’till she got home tonight, I thought I’d check the ‘net. Glad I did. Andy UK

  39. Hi all i recived tody 15/7/2008 that i will be rich man hehhehe i live in brasil e never visit spinsh and i call this peaple paying internacional calling fuck him but how they get our adress the name and the adress i know credit card ????????????

  40. I received one dated 15 July 08. I am wondering how come I don’t need to buy a ticket but I won EURO615,810. Most importantly, why the Loteria have my address!!! Except the letter, i always received emails saying the similar things!! BTW, I am in Hong Kong!!!!

  41. I just received one of these letters today. As with the others on this site, I don’t know how they got my address. Luckily I have more sense than to respond but I guess they manage to dupe some poor people otherwise they wouldn’t send out the letters. (I’m in the UK.)

  42. I have today received very similar letter from Carlos Fernandez, Vice President of Euromillones Loteria International, it was addressed to my business, not to me personally. I have never bought a Spanish lottery ticket, so will not be giving my bank details to Perfect Global Security Company S L in Spain. If I had won Euros 615,810 in the lottery I would claim direct and not via a third party! I wonder what is the point of this scam – once the so-called Security Company have your bank details are they somehow able to syphon funds from it?

  43. Received a letter in today’s post from Carl Santos, Vice President of Loteria Nacional. Apparently I’ve won 935,470 Euros. I think not! Have joined the facebook group.

  44. Hi i have just received a letter from this gang same thing just different names do not contact these as all calls are at premium rates and you will loose funds from you bank account the police have all information and wish for all letters and emails to be notified to them. hope this is of some use to you all out there.

  45. Hi guys, i got my letter today and i just dont get it.. ive won 816,000.00EURO in the andalucia sweepstake. could be plausable. just have to fax bank details. have a spare acc with no money in it, so was goin to use that. its an acc i opened as a teen and theres no overdraft allowed on it. if i fax details i jst cant see how i could be had. guaranteed i dont have to pay anything. replys and advice needed plz.

  46. Very poor layout and paper, I’ve won 615,810 euros.
Recived 16/08/08 posted from Almeria spain 11/08/08
How do they get your details?

  47. My Mum received this letter dated 12th August 2008 post marked 14th August saying she’d won 615,810 on numbers 03, 11, 25, 32, 37 and 43. Thank you all for the heads up!

  48. hi guys!i’m from MALAYSIA.my boyfriend also received this ‘great’ letter dated 25th july 2008.he was very shocked.huh.thought that he will be a rich man.but i’m very curios!!hey which company want to pay 915,790 euro huh?lets think bout it.then where they get the address?anyway, thank you for this blog.

  49. Dave, Tuesday 19th August
Hi, just received my great news today 785,790 not bad when I didn’t buy a ticket. I guess some people reply oterwise these conmen would quit trying. About time the Spanish government did something about it.I live in Surrey U.K.and must admit my name and address on the letter was perfect!

  50. 28 August
I got one of these letters today. I’m supposed to have won ,785790 the same as David Seagly above. In my letter the claims agent is CASCO GRUPO SEGURIDAD S.A The contact number also begins with a 6 .
It all looks very plausible on first reading, so I guess some guys must fall for it.

  51. I’ve only won 615.810 euros. What a disappointment!!
Im glad to find this site otherwise I would have been compelled to start one. How anyone can be taken in by these beats me; hand written envelope, cheap paper copies being asked for ALL my bank details…..er I don’t think so. Exact copy and tone of other people’s letters. You NEVER get something for nothing in this life… DON’T be taken in.

  52. Today I received such a letter for the third time.I´m from germany and it´s always translated in a very bad german.I never answered.

  53. thursday 4/9/08

i have received one of these letters today and im very excited ive won 700,15810 euros i can now pay my morgage ha!
just waiting for my cheque suppose i will still be sat here this time next year . oh well better go to work tommorow but think i will try my winning numbers on the euro lottery this week . ya never know do ya.

  54. I just received one of these….’Won’ Euro 915,810.00!
    I live in the UK
I contacted the real Loterias y Apuentas del Estado and gave all the numbers and names to them…And the content of the letter…You never know; maybe the fraudsters can get caught at some stage, some how…But I’m not betting on it…

  55. Got one today saying I won 615, 810 Euros. Was fantasizing for about 1/2 hour as they weren’t asking for payment or anything up front. They did ask for bank and personal details if I wanted a certified bank draft. Glad for the internet and glad for my instincts. What happens when I am older and possibly senile (losing my memory at 40 yrs.)? Did anyone actually win anything? I’m in Ireland, anywhere to report this as fraud?

  56. Hi, I just received a letter today, and out of curiosity called the number, I gave them my name and address as i thought it could do no harm as they sent it by post they already have those details. They told me to call back between 5p.m and 5.30 p.m my time (ireland) and just when i was calling back my phone rang and it was the man i was first speaking with to tell me my claim was a success and the bank where the money is are calling me tomorrow.

I thought it was a scam by asking for bank details but if you tick on the form to receive by cheque you don’t need to give them details.

I know now i have been naive to even call, but just curious!!!

Was i completely wrong to call even with those details???

Where exactly can they claim my identity or money from the details i gave??

I will see what the “bank” say tomorrow when they call!!!

    Any answers much appreciated.

    Thanks

  57. I am retired and living in the south of England and I, too, received a letter from Euromillones Loteria International, Avd Martin-May6,28009, Madrid, and signed by Ramos Martinez, saying I had won a 3rd category prize of 12,168,770.00 euros shared among the seventeen international winners in this category. I have to pay 10% of my winnings to my claims Agent after the fund
gets to me. A second form (Univeral Security Company S.L, Ctr Perez Lisbona Zapata 9, 28903 Madrid), asks among other things, if I wish to be paid by Bank Transfer (details of Bank a/c needed) or cheque.

As most people would ask to be paid by cheque I cannot see where they make their money but this must come later. Is it possible for any of these addresses to be checked upon and the Spanish police informed.

  58. here comes again dr. spanish, that is soo not true, but it was good to hear that i got chance to be a milloniar, haha, nvm scam try harder next time and see if i like it or not 😛

  59. I received the letter 2day. Different names and amounts but the same format. I am thinking up ways to spend the money already!!!!!!!!!

  60. Hi, my uncle of nearly 60yrs received one of these discusting letters today. I just knew that it couldn’t be real for a number of reasons: 1,He has never entered a lottery except an english one. 2,It is printed from a computer plus many other reasons, along with the reason, that I checked out all of these comments. I think this is discusting what so called human beings think they can get away with. I would go as far as saying this is inhumane.
Can I add that there is a lighter side to this and that is, that we had spent the money on some fabulous things. Well we can dream can’t we?
Please don’t fall for anything, nothing is free in this life except love.

  61. Sorry, forgot to mention the scum -bags name is CARLOS FERNANDEZ and the AGENT is DON.GOZMAN CALVO

  62. My wife received a letter from the Euromillions Loteria, it is the third one in two years. The previous one was more cleverly done. It was printed with a good quality printer on 100gm paper and had all the trademark of quality about it. The latest letter was printed on cheap paper with low a resolution printer and afterwards photocopied. The telephone number was different 0034635377932. this number is a premium mobile number. The total investment is about 0.65Euro. Keeping you on the phone for 1 minute will make the crook more than that. So don’t ring even if you are curious. No lottery will give you money if you haven’t paid for a ticket. No lottery will pay you money if you haven’t got prove of purchase. It is a scam. The only way to prevent people falling for it is by publishing the names of the companies, through websites like this one or similar, thanks, Reiner.

  63. this is just plain mena i thought i was really lucky an now i just found out it was a scam….
i already sent them my details…what do i do about that ?????….

  64. Just received one of these letters – was highly suspicious so googled it and found all these comments! it’s an absolute joke. Whoever is doing this wasn’t even clever enough to get their dates right – date at top of letter is 16/10/08, but in bold type at the bottom it says money must be claimed by 10th October 2008, IDIOTS!

Don’t fall for this, it’s obviously a scam. I’ve read on another website this should be reported to UK police – is this right? has anyone done this? were they even interested?

    Cheers.

  65. got one of these also 815,960,00 euros ticket no 025-11-464-992-750 drew the lucky numbers 23-16-12-22-24-46 i phoned the number but the guy sounded african not spanish oh well the ferrari will have to go back

  66. Yes I’ve received one today & remember having received others & from other ‘companies’. They never got a penny out of me but aren’t they increasingly cunning & sophisticating their approach ?
Good luck & thanks for the website organisers.

  67. October 2008
I received on of these letters too, not asking for any money up front, I faxed an obsolete bank account details. Next day I received a phone call asking if I wanted to go and collect the money in person, I declined. Carl Santos, vice president of Loterias y Apuestas del Estado said the money would be transfered into my account that day.
In my heart I knew it was a scam, but I really enjoyed feeling fortunate for a few days.
I wish I could win something one day.

  68. WOW am i glad i checked this one out ha ha! Got the joyous letter this morning, so i’ve won near as damn it 1 million euros! Yeah right, thanks forthe great info guys 🙂

  69. Hooray Hooray I’m rich. My letter differs from the 1 shown but all the trade marks are there for a scam. Fuzzy Scanning, not real stamps etc. Also the big give away that I’ve never bought a ticket for this lottery. Looks like I’ll be sticking with the more traditional lottery and apologising to my boss and asking for my job back.

  70. Yes I got one today. The sad thing is that some people out there must be falling for it otherwise they would’nt be still doing it. Its an attack on the vulnerable, and people who don’t have the internet.
Thanks for starting this website lets hope some people may check it out before sending in their bank details.
You can’t win a lottery if you have not entered it!
I have been to Spain recently and for 1 second I did think maybe I did buy a lotery ticket.
its nice to know I’m not the only one
    Thanks everyone.

  71. Yesterday I was asked by an elderly friend to verify this Euromilolions scam for it’s authenticity, which of course it obviously it not! However the reason I am leaving this post is because of the elderly people that receive this sort of thing., It is they whom these scam artists prey upon! No let me rephrase that, because they are not artists at all, they are scum! What sort of human being would prey on a defenseless elderly person with something like this that plays on their hopes and dreams. Unlike many of us here that can get a laugh out of such a thing, these poor people are so desperate to fulfill their life’s dreams and ambitions that they want this to be real so very bad that it just consumes them! Since the elderly folks come from a time when the vast majority of people were honest and it was not common place to receives statements like this from –> ass#()!%$ <– like these people. The elderly can’t see as wella s your or Ipossble can either, so these official foorms can even appear to lbe the real thing to them. They have difficulty telling the differance between the real form they just were required to fill out for the Social Security income that they may need to survive, and this scam letter. If there is anything that we as a group of people could do to stop this or educate others about such a scam then to help protect the elderly is the one true gift that can come from this garbage and these posts we ae leaving. Thank you.

  72. Hiya I received a letter. Telling me that I won 785,510.00 euros, and I have to make a cliam by 29 nov 08. It is a very big scam. my adviceto anyone IS TO STAY CLEAR.

  73. Happy New Year 2009. Wow, aren,t we all lucky again … winning 615,810 Euros ….. when we never bought a ticket. This scam by new company name … Arcos Security Company S.L. with contact agent Dr. Martin Garcia …. (Doctor of Plonkers perhaps?) When will somebody shut these people away. How do they get our names and addresses? Even sent a letter with a real Sanish stamp on it …. usually some e-mail contact, but they must have got wise to BBC exposing e-mail loterry scams …. oh well, think I might contact fraud squad somewhere.

    Sue, Wales UK

  75. I too have received one of these letters…fell for it for about one nanosecond!Knew it must be a scam, as they say, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, you’ve got to be in it to win it etc etc…Very glad I googled it and found all these messages. Thanks & take care everyone…

  76. Just received the good news today!addressed to my 85 year old father in law who doesn’t live at this address. The Agent is Ronda Security Company SL, Dr Dan Martinez.
The credit crunch must have arrived because ONLY 5% goes to the agent!!!!
    Do not be fooled.
I have just recycled the paper so it may serve a usefull purpose.

  77. Thank goodness for the power of the internet in exposing this uninvited benefit that will only benefit them and not us. I felt that the bait has increased (for me) as it is now Euro 915,810 with all the same “keep it secret” provisos by Don R Ramos (signatory). Only hope that this scam is exposed to prevent others being taken in. Well, at least the stamp will be used to increase our collection. Good luck guys and keep on telling the public

  78. Got one at last ..WOW.. I was resenting all my friends for getting letters but not me ..finally I got one but my letter was delivered by hand although it got a spanish stamp and a spanish post mark..strange ..someone here in the uk is helping them bastards in spain !!!!!!!!!!

  79. hi just got asked by a friend to check this out, i told him a while back (around 5 years ago about these scams) and asked him to contact me and i can check it out for him. he had just com back from spain which hotel did everyone stop in when they went over there. i checked the address out (28009 madrid, spain) and it comes back to a hotel in madrid the one he stayed at.
could someone be passing peoples address’s on to these numptys

  80. Friday 30th January. Just got mine dated 26th January. Would you believe it, I also have “won” Euro 915,810.00. Being British maybe we should start a Euro “WINNERS CLUB”.
Thanks for the web site. It has saved me from another heart attack.

  81. I’m in Fulham, London and a mature student. Just come in from my first day back at college to learn I’m a winner. I really did have 5 minutes of almost believing it. Found a good American website that put me right, but we need more UK ones as I almost fell for it and don’t think I’m an unusually gullible person!

My wining company is El Gordo, the Vice President is Dr Juan Dumo (obviously short for Dumbo) and my agent who I will not be contacting is Dr Diego Sanchez. Funny how many Dr’s there are in the Spanish Lottery Dept. The last time I was in Spain was 8 years ago and I have never bought a lottery ticket there.

It’s a nasty scam when we’re all skint. Send them all bad karma and hope they get caught out soon. Syd.

  82. Friday 6th Feb – I’ve also “apparently” won 915,810 euros.
Needless to say, I will not be filling in the form asking for my bank details. The security company wanting my details is “Perfect Global Security Company” Spanish letter heading gives county as Spain and not Espana… loads of mistakes all the way through the letter. Nasty scam needs to be addressed by authorities. I wonder how many old people have fell for this scam and sent off their bank details. I am 70 and can use a computer to “google” situations like these but unfortunately a lot of old people can’t. No doubt this is why the scam continues because this is how it is being funded.

  83. Has anyone reported this already ? If not I will do it. As you guys say there are elderly gullible people out there who will respond to these people leaving themselves exposed !

  84. I just got mine but my win is pounds not euros £715,810. Company name of Pasific Seguros & Financier S.A. Have to contact a Diego Sanchez. Looks official to start with but when you look at it is poor quality photocopy. Good luck to anyone that actually gets the money

  85. Had a letter today to my address but for someone else, bad scanned pictures does not even look good. Sadly they may catch someone yet!

  86. hi liz here from ireland i just won €1,610,550,00 i might have believed it pity about the bad spelling on the letter itself.sounded strange when winterthur security & finances asked me to keep it privatr and not tell anybody about my win!!
    what ever
    liz from ireland

  87. Received today 27th May 2009 letter from Euromillones in same foremat as described above. Names changed to David Hernandez as Vice President and contact Mr Diego Sanchez 0034652243529. Letter posted in Lisbon. Same scam repeated. Look out!

  88. thanks guys there back at this year , great heads up about # 6 , It would ahve been nice lol
    I’m offf to somewere warm
thanks guys & gals for the heads up

  89. Hi, just received one of these letters today addressed to my mother – who passed away recently. Oh, I thought, how she would have loved to have won such a huge some (apparently for 815.960.00 Euro)!! So, thought I’d have a look on the Net about this lot – and glad I did – thanks for your site. Pity some trusting older people might fall for this nonsense!

  90. my 87 year old father got one today. Again do not need to send any money, but does need to give account details.I suppose this is the scam.

  91. Received letter today saying my ticket had won £915,810 Euros. I have never bought a ticket so its maximum profit lads.
I have to phone Dr Alfonso Cano for processing the win. I wonder if he has a good bedside manner.
Do people really get taken in by this type of childish fraud. Unfortunately I suspect they do.

  92. Looks like they are at it again.
just received one from Madrid Spain (25/09/2009).
    915,810 euros. Yeah, right…

  93. Just got my lotto letter in the mail on 10-12-2009.Knew it was scam;but played along till they asked for money up front.E915,810.00 is a lot of money! Has anyone received any money???????

  94. hi thnx for this website i take a letter me too today tell me i won 915.000.00 euro for a moment i was dreaming but its just a trick from some company ghost.thnx again for this website.from albania koli

  95. Don’t fret mates we are on top of it all. We KNow whew thoses popeles is ok. We reparesent offidcal law informent personalle. None of these assholes know what they are doing to themselves because sooner or later they will get in some stuff they can’t get out of. I think they get name from numbers that are listed. Or from web addresses on whoisit.

  96. My husband just got one of these letters, he enters everything so thought could be real. Letter was mailed from Spain, phone numbers had correct dialing codes. Euromollions Loteria, won 915,777.00 euros only. Call claim agent Don Casius Domino, foreign operations manager for Davan Group Security Company who is to get 10% fee. Included a claim form. Says this is a Internationl promotions program and has a seal that states it is a Spanish Government Approved Program. I checked with the International Better Business Bureau-FRAUD-SCAM! The BBB says to give your letters to your postmaster.

These people are lower than pond scum!

  97. received a letter this a.m. 17th March saying that I had won one million and eighty euros (I wish) from Spain addressed to me personally from Malaga
Any info and any point in contacting the local authorities in the UK?
    Thanks

  98. Letter arrived today 20.03.2010. Dad was impressed but I wasn’t. I have a little PC knowledge and decided to google it and low and behold, lots of comments and your blog came up.

I see that the last report on your blog was 2008 so I thought to myself, people must still be receiving these letters and I had better let you know. Two years later and they are still at it.

  99. Hello guys.
I have just received the letter from Euromillones International S.L.
Stating that I have won US $1,875,000 THAT IS ONE MILLION AND EIGTH HUNDRED THOUSAND US DOLLARS, IN MY POSTAL ADDRESS. After searching the net, i have found the guys are scammers.,…and their needed my bank and personal details

  100. My dad received one of these letters today. he is eighty seven years old, how “dare they prey on the old” something should be done I took it straight to the police. Its times like these I love the internet.

  101. Hi just wanted to say that ive recieved one today, incase any1 else is looking in to this scam. they only want 5% now and you have to phone to prosesse your claim, lol prob cost £5 a min to ring. i have supposidly won 950,000.00 euros lol for a spanish lottery ive never entered, i wonder how many people fall for these??

  102. Hi, my grandmother received this letter today. Her winning is 815,510.00 $. Not bad for a person who has never entered any lottery. Why don’t these cheaters get a real job, it’s not fair. Greetings from Lithuania. :>

  103. Hi,
I also got one of these stupid and most annoying e-mails well in all I have had thre but as I never entered in the first place I knew it was a scam I just dont understand how these people get away with it.Dont do it dont read it just delete it would be my advice.

  104. It is now 2011. All the blogs I read are from 2008. What happened to all the “lucky” people between 2008 and 2011? Anyway, I am really jealous. You all won Euros. I only won dollars. $815,960. That’s a lot less in Dollars than in Euros. And now I have to let the “agent” have ten % (!!!!) of “my” money, just for doing nothing? Oh no, I want it ALL for myself. Winners keepers !! I have it all planned out. I’m gonna go on a cruise around the world, First class, naturally. After all I can now afford it. I’m sooo lucky…….

  105. Wow, can’t believe this lot are still at it. I got one of the ‘lucky letters’ in the UK more than three years ago, just before I moved to Australia. I now work for a local newspaper in a small country town in Victoria and one of our readers has brought in a letter she’s just received. Postmark shows it coming from Portugal but with a Madrid address on the letter. Similar format to what I remember before but prizes now paid in US$ instead of Euros and the agent is Dr Oscar Gonzalez (doctor of boivine scatology no doubt). Times must be hard as they only want 5% now instead of 10%. Will take pleasure in publishing a note to warn our readers. Remember – You Gotta Be In It To Win It! 😉

  106. 5th March 2012,

Beware folks, they are still at it! Just received one from the ‘International Lottery Board S.L.’. Usual crap, looking for bank details and so on. Shame on them. 🙂

    Ed

  107. I did win, to day 16-03-2012 from MINISTERIO DE ECONOMIA Y HACIENDA,

Using a computer balloting selection system from all names submitted for the program, your name with ticket
number 36884 won in the 2 category, and was awarded the sum of €875,321.28 €
(EIGHT HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE EUROS TWENTY EIGHT CENT ONLY).

THATS a hol lot of money. Not just “ONLY”, some money.

So, it is still going on in 2012. When does it ever stop. Does anyone really tryies to get the money?? And do they pay up some fees? I don´t know if there is any fees. But they proberly wants you money insted og giving you some money.
Best of luck to all you winners.

    1. I got a letter just now same as Peter, I was going to ask for the certified cheque payment. I think I’ll attach it and send it to the Spanish Embassy.

I won on the computer balloting system and was one of seventeen winners. My ticket number was 031-1127-841 serial number 3214-07. My prize is €615,810.00 wouldn’t it be nice little haul today Friday 13th

  108. Yes , got one of these letters too in April. 715,510 euros- $1K NZ. They want 960 euros in 48 hours to achieve bank clearance in order to transfer the money. They did give me the banks phone number but hey if they need money up front for a lottery win and cannot deduct the cost of transfer, it’s a scam.

  109. Ahh – I’ve become a millionaire again. Euromillones lotería international this time (still active – 31.May 2012). And why is it that they always sign their emails with a womans signature?

  110. my dad just received one of these letters it is a hugh scam saying he won 1950000 us dollars yea right we will give it to are post master and they can figure it out

  111. My brother in law has just received one of these winning letters he has won 1,950,000,00 euros My brother in law did not enter this so called lottery HE HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 12 YEARS. where does this scum get peoples names from

  112. my dad got one and it said that he would win 1,887,536.00 euros wtf do these people think we are, idiots and my dad never entered the euromillones

  113. Its Friday 13th July 2012 and here it sits on my table with a $815,960.00 win. Think being friday 13th its on omen cos I received 2 pages, on the second page is a ‘cheque’ with my name on it and $815,960.00. It does not say anywhere on the printed cheque that it is a specimen only so I’m going to take it to my bank Santander and tell them to cash it. The bank name on the cheque is also Santander. Does anyone reckon I will get the money……or is it friday the 13th of Nothing.

  114. I get those UK lottery notices all the time but I live in the USA and never play lotteries from other countries as I have no access anyway. Sometimes I would send them a letter stating that my bank and attorney needed their information as my $$ was all tied up in a trust and that it was overseen by my attorney and my bank and I had no direct, free access to it. LOL I wonder why I never heard back from them? And those scams from Nigeria, or other west African countries! LOL I write back and tell them I would love to have the money but I am in prison and the prison won’t allow me to have more that $10 at any one time in my account. I think this is why I never hear from them any more. But on occasion some woman who can’t spell will send me a “Dear Sister in Christ” letter but its because her husband died and left her all this money in a secret acct that she doesn’t want the criminal elements in the govt to get and she is dying of cancer and wants me to have it. LOL

  115. If you get this it is a SCAM. You have to be “in it to win it” so don’t be fooled. Think about about it! It you don’t enter a lottery how can you possibly be a winner!!! I received a letter a few years ago and have now received another in February 2012. My advice is to do what I always do with these things – put it in a plain envelope, address it clearly & post it BUT DO NOT PAY THE POSTAGE – NO STAMPS! Before you seal the envelope write on the letter words to the effect that you “were not born yesterday” and that next time they do this to you you will put a heavy book/brick in the envelope & post it back minus the postage and that your “returns” will get increasingly heavier!! Even if it doesn’t work it’s fun having a go at getting your own back!!

  116. I live in the Bahamas and I would like to know where the hell they got my name from.

  117. re MY letter from Euromillones Loteria International dated April 15/13. I DID enter European lotteries several times a few years ago, with the understanding any small winnings would be turned back into the lottery for possible bigger winnings. So my letter finally arrived, sounding very legit. I faxed them back their form NOT giving banking info, so William Gomez called (I encouraged him to talk for quite a while!) and said I could MoneyGram them the $1200 to cover the cost of the Spanish Revenu Tax Clearance Certificate, and my certified cheque (for US$815,810) would arrive in 48 hours! They have a plane going out every nite at 9 p.m. LOL

  118. PS…..I even offered him $10,000 (after I received my cheque)to act as my agent and pay the $1200 for me….but he seemed to have lots of reasons why that wasn’t possible, none of which I understood, due to his strong spanish accent!

  119. Got me leter today. Funny, no return address on envelope, postmarked with Spanish mail stamp. I didn’t enter any Lottery outside the USA. How do they get your name?? This letter will wind up in the ___itter. Being a senior, I’m glad I still have some sense of what’s right and not right.Reading the other letters, I agree, It is a SCAM.

  120. can’t believe it, i’ve just won €915,810.00, i must get on the phone straight away and hand over my bank details. can’t wait to have my account plundered. don’t think so. throw these letters away if you receive one.don’t get stung by these crooks.

  121. My mom who died this summer just got a lovely letter from agent Dr. Manual Gomez. Since she no longer has a bank account I can’t send them the info. But a new twist! Now the letter wants to know who her next of kin is (me) and my address and job and phone etc so they continue the scam to the next generation. How did they even know that she died?
By the way the amount on her letter is in dollars. I hope that no one has seriously responded in greedy anticipation.

  122. I also received this kinda letter, but my name is mentioned
the claiming agent called me just now and asking to pay 800 euro for transferring the 915’810 USD. I told him aint gonna to pay and why I should pay. He gotta furious and told me that he will cancel my prize. Woww..how long this scam will go?

  124. i had one deliverd today monday the 14 april 2014 it was posted on the 10 thursday april 2014 the day of the draw is 12 APRIL SATURDAY 2014 HOW CAN THEY SEE INTO THE FUTURE???

  125. got letter today in mail, nothing on the envelope except my name & address & postal stamp from Spain.I won a lottery,I never heard about or entered, just call Dr.oscar martinez, and they’ll send US$950,000,just pay 5% of your winnings to your claims agency ASAP.Letter dated 18,august 2014,todays date 22 aug,2014.(fast mail coming all the way from Madrid;)These scam artists must think Americans are a bunch of idiots.I’m not a PC expert, but Google sure comes in handy to check out this crap. I will give this letter to the authorities.

  126. Louis Van Wart Dec. 2, 2014
My wife received letter in mail from Spain stating she won One Million
Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars and to contact your old friend
Dr. Oscar Martinez. She called the telephone number to receive
instructions and was told to send $2500 (their 5%) to Spain via UPS with a tracking # and they would send the check. Checked the internet
and saw they were still scamming people.

  127. EURO MILLIONES INTL, LOTERIA I won $15,350,000,000 but I’m still a poorper and they want 10% back. not in my life. They will get nothing. They need to have their finger nails pulled out one by one SLOWLY. 19/2/2015

  128. Well it’s now 2015…googled what is 10% of €915,810.00 and came across this website. WOW,just WOOOW is all I can say.
It seemed ligit,or maybe I just wanted it to be,desperately. Until I got a call from the ‘bank’- my winnings was being processed BUT,(always a but,why is they always a but),in order for them to send me the ‘cheque’ I would have to pay upfront €735 for postage/security e.t.c really ? -_- what the fuck is wrong with these people. All these years, I wonder if anyone has ever paid them…
This is just disgusting. And to think I nearly fell for it,that will teach me. But, at least now I know the signs.

  129. They are getting tricky. My mother told them to pay fee and they sent her a pnc check from an investor who wants intrest on his money.
I will call pnc and verify that possibly this poor guys identity was stolen with possibly his old bank account number. Hopefully they have gotten on top of this poor guys account and closed it….
